About Treadwerks: Trail Design + Construction

Both partners in Treadwerks have logged thousands of hours as trail builders. Eric Sageser is a long-time tool and equipment guy, as well as a prolific trial builder. Kent Howes is a trail work and education event coordinator, trail builder and current president of the Central Oregon Trail Alliance (COTA).

Both partners have worked extensively with public entities such as the US Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management. The have also worked with private developers, private landowners and city governments. Coordination and compromise are key elements in linking these varied agencies' goals and missions to a focused result: trails that connect us to each other and connect our communities to the natural world.

Treadwerks' goal for each project is to provide clients with state-of-the-art trails and pathways that are  sustainable and aesthetically pleasing, while providing trail users with an experience that is rewarding physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Treadwerks: Trail Design + Construction Mission

Treadwerks believes a well designed trail lures the user to travel its length, while providing both a physical and thought provoking experience.

From design to layout, consulting to construction, Treadwerks applies its experience to bring each unique project from conception through to completion. And beyond, with long-term sustainablility and maintenance planning.

Treadwerks designs and builds multi-use trails that can be enjoyed by walkers, hikers, cyclists and dog enthusiasts. When possible and appropriate, consideration is also given to the winter season users, such as Nordic skiers and snowshoers.

Trails connect us to each other — and they connect our communities to the natural world.
